hi. i'm samsam, long-time (as in over 20 years) spidey reader. i got out of comics completely a couple of years ago however, before the renumbering, so somewhere in the 400's for Amazing. so you can imagine my shock when i picked up an issue recently and found Aunt May live and kicking. can somebody fill me in on when/why/how this happened?

i was actually very disappointed, because i thought that the storyline of her death was a very well-written story and was handled with absolute grace, respect, and a lot of emotion. it made such an impression upon me, that i can easily picture the scene of May and Peter on the Empire State Building, when she tells him that she's known about his alter-ego for many years and how Ben would've been proud. to a long-time Spidey fan, that really got me. and now since Marvel's resurrected someone yet again, they've completely robbed me of that moment and cheapened the work of the writer and artists.

or is she just a clone?

I know what you mean about Marvel bringing back people. I use to collect Amazing, Spectacular, Web and Spiderman until the whole bloated mess of a storyline involving the Peter Parker clone saga! Sheesh, that was the biggest bunch of crap I ever ran across! I haven't touched a Marvel book since that story finished up, I was just too disgusted with them.
