If you’re too at a stage in your comics life that you start to think about publishing your own comics you are going to read Katherine Farmar post on tips for the new comics publisher.

I know that I am frustrated at time with the limitation of the institutional comics industry to the point of thinking what the hell I can do a better job than many of the comics that are out there.

Reading her post gave me some food for thought as I now plan to take it slow and build the foundations before I attempt to publish my own stuff.

There is no doubt that a change is needed and new winds can benefit the industry greatly but part of the secret is knowing when and how.

To create something new that would stick we all have to work at the right timing and lets things grow at their natural rhythm.

Hope to see some real change in the foreseeable future so building things in a way that can pass the test of time is important for me at least.

Sure it is just the cover an you won’t be influencing anything important but you can check the link and vote I couldn’t find a big difference between the two choices but check for yourself.

First look brings the picture of spider-man as an ape and it appears that marvel try to recreate the success of the Zombie franchise. So the September 3 Issue would have spider-man and other lead marvel superheroes as apes.

Kevin Melrose says the moneys are the new zombies but I can’t really see the regular readers being too happy with the idea. Still I guess it is another franchise trick so with the whole marvel machine behind it maybe by August it would seem fun.

The contracts for Spider-Man 4 are probably signed since the producer Laura Ziskin told theater owners that they can expect to get the movie at 2011- from the Pinoy blog.

the main thing that bugs me is that Spider-Man t-shirt. In his own universe, the general public regards Spider-Man as a dangerous vigilante at best, and a creepy villain at worst. So this is kind of like giving her a jacket with Bernie Goetz’s face embroidered on the back.

I gave it some thought and decided that most of the people in the general population would remember his as the one that saved their lives so I’m not sure about him being known only as a villain or a vigilante but it is an interesting question.
