Hi,
I'm somewhat new to collecting, and am looking at a large collection that has a lot of comics that do not say 'Direct Edition' on the cover. What does this mean as a collector, is one more valuable than the other, are they exactly the same read? What is up with different editions???

Same story, same look...
The Direct Editions are the ones shipped to comic book stores and other similar retailers. The other editions are 'newstand' editions. With the exception of a small handful of certain issues, the two editions are worth exactly the same.
