With the success of 'Spiderman' and the success of 'The Hulk' in 2003 (come on....you know it's going to be just as big as Spidey 2002), what are the chances of getting these two together for one movie?

I know it wouldn't happen until after their perspective sequels, but I always liked the Spiderman and Hulk encounters in the comics. Both are loners, misunderstood, pursued by law enforcement and have more in common with each other, then any other two superheroes IMO. Spiderman's one liners are always at his best, whenever he encounters The Hulk.

'Dr. Doom' is a common 'Spiderman' and 'Hulk' enemy. The movie could start off with a confrontation between Ol' Greenskin and The Web Slinger....and eventually they learn to trust each other to a degree and team up against Doom. Or something to that affect.

It will probably never happen.....but it would be so cool if it did!

I'm sure you're exaggerating. No WAY will any Hulk movie be as big as any Spidey movie. Spider-Man simply has much more of a following than The Hulk.

Ang Lee of CTHD is directing and the movie is going to be the most advertised film ever.

Now there's an idea. Wow, if they did it right - Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, Red Skull, etc. They could make it more of a James Bond type thing. That could be very cool...

While both Banner and Parker are brilliant scientists I don't think their alter egos have much in common.

And just how many times has that happened over the years?

Uh, not really. Dr. Doom is mainly a Fantastic Four enemy.

Well, I don't think The Hulk will be teaming up with anyone. Sure, he was one of the founding members of The Avengers, but he left after only 4 or 5 issues, IIRC. Besides, he's always moving about and Spidey is a New York fixture.

When it comes to the film versions of these comic book superheroes and their stories, it's best to not mix them together. The best thing to do is give somebody a cameo that wouldn't otherwise be in their own film. There are a whole bunch of ex-Avengers, ex-Defenders, etc. floating around.

... and Catwoman, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Hellboy, Iron Fist, Iron Man, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the Superman remake, Wonder Woman, plus the inevitable sequels for Men in Black, X-Men, Blade, etc?

ok, well Daredevil anyway.
