I still remember the day about 30 years ago when I saw my *first* Spiderman comic with a 'glossy' cover - as a kid I only got the UK reprints, and at first they came with regular paper covers. It was the issue of #53, when Spidey has to battle not only Doc Ock, but also the fact that the Doc was now a well-liked boarder of his Aunt May. Anyhow, when I saw that cover my eyes widened like they'd never done before and as I grabbed for the comic everything seemed to be in slow motion. I was 9 yrs old. I don't think any cover since has moved me more.
Anyhow, I was wondering: What Spiderman cover has had perhaps a similar effect on you? Not because of its being 'technically perfect', but just because of the sheer delight it brought you when you first saw it. And why.
