So whats the deal with EZEKIEL?

I dunno...everything points to him being some sort of future version of Peter, but that just seems obvious.

Any thoughts?

i don't think he's a future version of peter just because he obviously has a life in the same timeline as peter. he's a multi millionare and it would have taken a long while to make that much money. plus we also saw a glimpse of how he got his spider powers when he was being tortured. plus if he was the future version of pete i think he would have been more willing to help pete fight morlun rather than just offer to hide pete. after all if younger pete dies than future pete does as well unless its an alternate future pete but i really don't want to go there heh. i think ezekial is what he said he was. some dude with spider powers who wants to do some good but is to afraid to accept the responsbilty.

dude, you totally got read that stuff its some of the best spidey storys i've read. i'm sure there will be a trade paperback coming out shortly after this story arc is over i highly recomend you pick it up. anyway it was in issue 32 and it we see a short glimpse of ezekials origin while he's explaining to peter about how he thinks pete got his spider powers. the whole totemistic force thing (which if you don't know about i can also explain if you don't mind it being spoiled its really interesting and makes alot of sense and it also involves other heroes in the marvel universe.) peter asks exekial how he got his powers and ezekial says that his path wan't as pure as peters and that he'll tell him the stroy some time. and we see a couple of flashback panels of a younger ezekial in a jungle somewhere entering a temple with symbols of spiders on the wall then we see him tied up to the wall and a hand with a knife cutting into his chest. so its still prety much a mystery.

I suppose they could give a theory for this, but also, if Ezekiel was a future Peter, then why is he not as pure? The passing years wearing him down?

As far as that totemistic force thing, I've got to re-read that part. I'm not completely getting it. I understand somewhat, but it's not sinking in all the way.

Sounds a little too supernatural for my tastes, but I'll give it a chance.
