So, do they call it 'The Amazing Spiderman' or 'Spiderman II the return of the wall crawler' or what, any guesses as to the next title?
The real reason for the post is a villain question! I'm a big fan of the Hobgoblin. I have been out of the Spiderman loop for so many years though that I seem to have my facts wrong on just who he was when out of the mask! Regardless of that, he was and is one of my favorites. I also liked Doc Oc, The Vulture (even though he's just a crotchety old man!) the Chameleon, the Hulk, and Wolverine. I would love to see an X-Men tie in with Wolverine and Spiderman! Will it be a total overkill of supervillians though if there are three or more of them in the sequel? I think the film could handle two, but can it handle three or more? They did pretty good with a number of bad guys in X-Men, but there were a number of good guys too. This would be Spiderman vs. all of them alone though unless there was a little help from Wolverine or someone of the like. Can we see Spiderman fighting off the Green Goblin, the Vulture, and the Chameleon all in the same movie and have any substance at all without making the film end up campy and hollow in the end? I'm sure the script writers and special effects people along with the director can do something with it, but how many is too many? I would love to see Hugh Jackman make an appearance in the film as Wolverine, Spiderman's reluctant accomplice in crime fighting!!
So the question begs to be asked: How many bad guys is too many bad guys for the next movie?

Finally, 'the clone saga' gets the cinematic adaption we've been waiting for.
Two is too many. Cramming too many new major characters into one movie is what started screwing up the Batman movies. Next thing you know a younger equivalent of George Clooney is playing Spidey and he's got nipples on his

heres my take on the sequal ok so the green goblin is supposedly dead right? and harry said hell get spider man back for killing his father.....hmmmmm green goblin II sounds about right but not yet. mary jane kisses peter in the end and also finds it feels the same after kissing spider man...??they also mention dr conners and eddie brock as well.... i think it would be best if they introduced the villans in the sequal such as whats happening to them but they dont evolve(meaning they dont become who they are now) until hte 3 part type of thing, one things for surevenom wont be in til like the 3 part and if its like batman then it wont be till the 4th part. id like them to show the symiot hehe.

On 07 May 2002, Hollywood Sixx wandered deep into the Valley of Knowledge and Confusion and emerged victorious, proclaiming:
Personally, I think one is all you can handle in 2 hours. Look at how badly WB dealt with Batman's villains in Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin. The development of the bad guys goes by so fast that you're straining to keep up.
I think Spider-Man (and the 1989 Batman) did a better job with just one villain that you can really get to know.

I think that having harry get ahold of the symbiote and getting brock involved could actually work - not the same story as the comics, but it could be pulled off my a decent writer. Harry wants revenge and takes over his fathers business, finds out that a space probe found this alien thing, and tries to use it to kill spidey - doesnt work, so it seeks out brock, who they show to hate spidey and peter for something that happens - and sorted! instant enemies and movie!

That could work, but again, you only have the development of one supervillain. Granted it takes 2 people to 'create' him, but there's only one guy really trying to clean Spidey's clock.

I'd say the Sinister Six would be a likely idea for the second film. Having any more villains would be hard to film and not work into a stardard 2 hr 15 minute format, in this viewers opinion. Certainly they should have Dr Octopus, or Kraven, but the Sinister Six still seems a worthy suggestion.
