Hello
I looked for a Faq and did google searches but I was unable to figure this out. Is it possible to buy reprints of the original spiderman comics for a reasonable price. The only things I could find are called 'Marvel Masterworks', but these seem to be out of print and also collectible. The reason I ask is because I want to read the original story and artwork without buying a 'collectible' that will be degraded by me reading it. I'm not really interested in comic collecting (and $ commitment), I just want to read the real thing starting with #1. I'm not interested in the new updated story/artwork comics that are out there either. Any help would be appreciated.

You want to look for 'Essential Spider-Man' volumes 1 through 5. They are inexpensive black and white reprints of Amazing Spider-Man 1-112 (or so, can't recall).
