So far, I like USM's take on Venom. The origin is a lot simpler than all of the secret wars crap. The only downside is that the Eddie Brock character isn't really that interesting. I hope we get a lot more development of him before he gets the suit.

am i the only one that saw the name Brock before in Ultimate Spiderman? i think it was a forced story by most of the fans i dont think they wanted Venom in this serie yet

I have really enjoyed the majority of the Ultimate Spider-Man series, and in comparision to the original run I think it rates well.
I didn't not care for the original Venom and especially disliked Carnage. I think Mr. Bendis' take is refreshing and yes somewhat simple. There are still a lot of unanswered questions about the father's and this liquid. So I look forward to the next several issues.
