ultmaite surprise in issue 13?

apperantly there is going to be a big surprise in issue 13 of ultmate spiderman. something that according to marvel will take ultimate spiderman down a road very different than his main stream counter part. i was wondering what everyones theories was. i'm thinking based on wht i saw in issue 11 with that crisis counseller is that the government knows that pete is spidey and are going to try and use him somehow. i'm thinking that the crisis counseller is actully a government agent. theres also seems to have been some foreshadowing of this with pete the kingpin unmasking him and then pete sliding down that window where the party was. and in the latest ultimate team up pete again loses his mask during a fight with iron man.

Good theory.

However, I think that Spidey will turn on Marvel and join Image and then reveal that Image and DC have united to put Marvel out of business.

All kidding aside (and I wonder if ANYONE got my other post): I think that it could be...

1.) MJ is killed a la Gwen Stacy

2.) Spidey is accused of the murder of Mr. Big and a major manhunt goes down. The cops could also figure out his identitiy and Peter would have to go on the lam.

3.) Peter catches up with Uncle Ben's murderer

yeah i thought your previous post was pretty funny. i just didn't think it would be an entertaining story. lol. i like your second idea best. th other two i don't think would be that good. theres no way they are going to kill off mj with a movie coming out and also i don;t see how that would seperate ultmate spidey from mainstream spidey. as ar as pete meeting up with his uncle's killer they did that in amazing 100 i believe and it wasn't all taht great then.

the only problem i have with his identity being revealed which seems to be where they are heading one wayor another is that it can really handcuff future stories. and i think marvel learned their lesson with that sort of thing with the clone saga. another possibilty is peter revealing himself as spiderman to aunt may. but i think that will be the big surprise in amazing which they re planning to have at the same time. september wil be a hell of a month. especially when you consider that wolverines origan begin that month as well.

How about a double sized issue where he tracks down his parents like in annual #5. Maybe a little Red Skull or something. I guess someone more modern would be better recieved though.

I was never a fan of Peter's parents being spys and all that mumbo jumbo. I'd rather they be fairly normal, maybe scientists. But nothing so out of the ordinary.
