What Id do for the next few S-M movies

Spider-Man 2: Doc Ock is the main villain. In the end its revealed that he was hired by Harry Osborn. MJ and Peter become good friends. Eddie Brock is introduced and his rivalry with Peter is set up.

S-M3: Harry becomes Hobgoblin. Peter gets the black suit. Eddie Brock gets fired and becomes suicidal. Dr. Conners analyses the symbiote suit for Peter in a cameo and warns him not to use it because it has unknown properties. Peter gets addicted to the extra power the suit gives him, but realises its danger when the suit tries to make him kill a thug.

In the end, S-M beats Hobby and goes to the church to beat the suit. Peter loses the suit in the bell tower. Eddie is in the chapal with a gun asking for forgiveness for what he's about to do. Just as he puts the gun to his head, the symbiote comes down from the ceiling. Eddie reaches out to touch it and it grabs his hand. All we see is the shadow of Eddie struggling with the symbiote in the flickering candle light. He's screaming, but suddenly his screams turn into an inhuman laugh as we see the shadown (and only the shadow) of Venom on the wall. The End.

S-M 4: Venom is the main villain. MJ reveals that she knows Peter is Spidey. Peter admits he rejected her because being Spidey puts him in danger all the time. Even though he's nearly killed by Venom at the end, MJ says she still wants to be with Peter and that there are thousands of wives of police officers and firemen who go through the same things she would go through and it doesn't matter because she loves him.

S-M 5: Aunt May becomes ill and Dr. Conners becomes the Lizard. Aunt May dies, but reveals that she knows Peter is Spider-Man and she is proud of him. Spidey beats the Lizard.

You could just about go on forever. That's 5 movies right there and you still have plenty of villains (Sandman, Electro, Shocker) to bring in. You could also bring guys like Venom or Hobgoblin back for a film. There's no reason Spidey couldn't become like James Bond (which has over 20 films now).

That's true but it makes some sense to differentiate between father and son.

Some of the premises are good but trying to stretch this to Bond longevity probably won't work. Bond's age can be anywhere between 35 and 50 so any actor can be in the roll for 10 to 15 years. Other characters can be any age.

Spidey is anywhere from 17 to 25 this also applies to all his friends (MJ, Harry, Flash, Gwen). It would mean recycling the entire cast every 5 to 7 years.

Also a lot of the villians couldn't carry a movie (Shocker, Kraven) as they would not seem to be very impressive. This then brings the issue of multiple villians in and, as we saw in the Batman franchise, this doesn't work very well.

Why spoil a perfectly nice looking movie? We see what happened with the Batman movies.. The went from good to really bad. I don't want this to happen to Spider-man. Actually I hate the thought of a Spider-man2, but well, who am I to say they shouldn't make another one. I just think that the best movies are the ones that don't have a sequel.

I use to agree with this but there have been many exception to the rules. I always thought Lethal Weapon 2 was better than the first.

Bond and Star Trek moives also break this pattern. Bond being hit and miss from movie to movie and Star Trek being even numbers good, odd bad.

And my wife's favourite Star Wars episode is Empire.

Kirsten Dunst has said the next one will have Doc Octopus and the Lizard.

Yeah, but there's no way that Hollywood is gonna use the Green Goblin again. Too redundant.
