True Believer is a catch phrase often coined by Marvel Publisher Stan Lee. I'd often wondered if there was something more to its usage myself, as it has a religious undertone, but as most of Lee's work, to my knowledge, has no definite religion, I say its just a Stan Lee 'thing', meaning belief in the Marvel Comics message:

'Mo' Money, Mo' Money, Fantastic Four!!!'

Now say that five times fast.

'True Believer' is just a term coined by Stan Lee in the comics years ago. Basically, it just means a Fan. Actually, Stan Lee use to due the voice over for the Spider-man and his Amazing Friends Cartoon in the 80's and he would often open his narration with 'Listen up True Believers!' and go on from there.

I've seen and heard the word 'Excelsior' on the Marvel website and in the Spidey games. Anyone got any clues what that means?
